At Allendale Primary School, we are working hard to improve the school environment and to reduce it’s carbon footprint. The Eco Committee meet every term to discuss and decide on what the school community could do to become more eco-friendly. Our recent actions have included building a pond and planting native plants in the wildlife area, monitoring the invertebrates found in the school grounds, taking part in ‘Switch off Day’ and becoming eco inventors. We are very proud to have achieved our third Eco Schools Green Flag Award.
We are always keen to be involved in eco projects in the community and welcome help with our own eco adventures. Please contact Miss Guttridge if you are interested in helping us to achieve our aims.
