School Council

The School Council consists of 2 representatives from Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6 who are voted for by their peers. The School Council meet with the Headteacher to raise issues and suggest improvements to school and to discuss the suggestions made by other children via the School Council Suggestion Box. We believe that the children should be enabled to have the opportunities, skills and support they need to make important decisions about their school environment, the wider community and world beyond. We want to empower them to make their contribution in the widest sense by taking responsibility for their own school community, the wider local community and the global community.
Y5 and Y6 School Council members run a healthy school tuck shop every Friday at playtime.

Y3 and Y4 School Council members run a DVD Club for Reception and Y1.

The School Council suggested a collection on behalf of Cancer Research when we went carol singing in the village. We raised £61.83 which we have sent to the charity.

The School Council sold Easter Puppies and raised £260 for school

The school Council are currently contributing to a new playground design and equipment for the benefit of all the children at school. We have raised £800 so far and are busy planning fundraising activities.
