Inter-House Football

Tuesday 12th June 2018
The weather was very kind this morning as the whole school enjoyed a football competition in celebration of the World Cup. Each house dressed up in their colours and competed to be the overall winners.
Many thanks to our volunteer referees who supervised the 3 pitches where years 1 and 2 played together, years 3 and 4 played together and years 5 and 6 played together.
Each match was important, with the results feeding through to the overall scores. All the teams played with great sportsmanship and skill.
Despite some confusion with the scores at the end, the final winner was in fact Vercovicium house, who narrowly beat Banna in the finals, ending up just one goal ahead. In third place were Segedunum, followed by Vindolanda in fourth.
Many thanks also to the PTFA who provided juice and oranges for the competitors.
