Free School Meals Provision

School meals can be provided by school for families in receipt of Free School Meals through benefits related reasons.
Mrs Turnbull is currently providing a packed lunch or jacket potato for collection from the school kitchen door each day.
Free school meals are only available during term time but as these are such unusual circumstances, Mrs Turnbull will continue through the Easter holidays if families request this.
The government are bringing in a voucher scheme for families so that they can go to their local supermarket and use the voucher to purchase food for their children. However, this is very much in the early stages and the Co-op is not yet on the list of providers. We will contact families when we receive details about registering for this scheme.
Scam alerts

We have been informed that some parents throughout the country have received an email stating the following: ‘As schools will be closing, if you’re entitled to free school meals, please send your bank details and we’ll make sure you’re supported’.

We can confirm that this is a scam email and is not official. We urge parents that if you receive any emails like this, please do not respond, and delete it immediately.
