COVID Information

Keeping our school healthy, safe and open for our children is our priority. We regularly review our Covid procedures and follow national and local guidance as well as implementing our own measures to manage any positive Covid cases.

Children should only be absent from school if they have a high temperature / cough and are feeling unwell. If a lateral flow test is carried out and a child is positive, they should be off school for 3 days or longer if symptoms persist and they feel unwell.

All our classes have ventilation through open windows and doors and all classes have CO2 monitors to ensure there is adequate ventilation. Hand sanitising stations are throughout school and in every teaching area and frequent hand washing / sanitising is carried out.

Visitors are welcome to wear a mask in school if this is their personal preference.
The NSPCC has created a webpage with information and advice for parents or carers who are worried that a child or young person may be struggling with their mental health or has anxiety about coronavirus. The webpage contains information on: talking about feelings and worries; keeping in touch and balancing screen time; ways to create structure and routine; and helping to give children a sense of control.
The NSPCC Library and Information Service has created a series of books for children who are worried or anxious. Their free information service remains open and can provide reading lists and help parents find information on safeguarding topics.
